Too bad Chinese cars are death traps on wheels. After living/working in China for 7 years and seeing how even the most luxurious EV’s from both BYD and other brands suddenly catches fire and taking several lives as a result I will never dare to buy one of those just to save a few bucks. It’s funny how there’s always a lot of angry people coming forward when you criticize the very real safety issues with Chinese cars but basically it’s mostly people who fell for the marketing and wanted to save a few bucks on their next car. Nobody buys a Chinese EV to get a quality car with high safety levels. That said cars from Tesla do have pretty poor build quality but there’s a lot of good EV’s from the established car manufacturers where you both get high safety levels and a good build quality these days so there’s really no reason to compromise on a cheap Chinese EV death trap or a poorly built Tesla.
